Trying to balance charge a Hyperion 2S LIFE battery, I plug the battery into the 2s slot on the adapter board. hit start and it says balancer con. connected it starts to charge and immediately goes into error. battery not connected.
I can charge the battery fine without the balance connector.
I noticed something very strange. The adapter board that came with the charger is confusing me. The red wire (+) coming from the balance port on the charger goes into the adapter board, but I only have continuity on the 6s slot of the adapter board. the adapter slots 2-5 have no conductivity to the positive wire on the balance output of the charger.
this is a new charger and something seems to be screwy.

I went and checked my hyperion board and it is the same as yours. continuity only on the 6s slot, but it charges all my 2s packs just fine. so I think you might be doing something else wrong. let us know.

Yes both sets of leads are hooked up, the main + and - and then the separate balance plug. I may have a flaky connection somewhere I plugged it in once and started a charge, it balance charged for a while before it gave the battery not connected error. If I charge with just the main leads (no balancing) it works fine.
Thanks for checking your board that should rule out an incorrect part being shipped with mine.

Not sure what the problem was. I built a new charge lead and all is well, tested the old charge lead with another charger and it works as well now. Go figure? Maybe I wasn't holding my tongue right
I think that the Life charging is sensitive enough to voltage drops that the slightest connection problem will give trouble. That is my guess anyway.
