I JUST BOUGHT A HYPERION 3CELL BATTERY AND AM HAVING TROUBLE CHARGING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. I KNOW THAT THE BALANCE CHARGE NEEDS AN ADAPTER TO CHARGE IT ON MY TRITON JR, HOWEVER WHEN I HOOK DIRECTLY TO THE DEANS PLUG THE CHARGER DOES NOT SEE THE BATTERY IT " SAYS NO BATTERY". I ALSO HAVE A THUNDERPOWER CHARGER AND THE SAME RESULTS. I CHECKED THE BATTERY WITH MY TESTER AND IT HAS POWER.
ANY BODY ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM OR DOES SOMEONE KNOW WHAT I CAN TRY . THE HOBBY SHOP WAS OUT OF THE ADAPTERS. BEN T

If the battery's (esc) plug is hooked up correctly to the charger's banana outputs then it should detect the battery voltage. If the battery shows voltage on that Dean's connnector and the charger works with other batts then perhaps the lead itself has a bad connnection. Can you verify that the charger works, the charge lead works and/or the battery works on other equipment?

all are working on other batteries and the battery has a partial charge. the new hyperion has a 4 cell balancer plug and they skip one of the leads in which make you buy their charger or an adapter ,which was unavailable at the time I bought the battery. When I try to just charge the bat thru the deans plug the charger will not recognise that I have it pluged in. It wont work in either charger, frustration.... Thank for responding.

It does sound like a bad connection with that battery, it is odd though that it will read some voltage. Can you read the pack's voltage while plugging it into charger and pushing start? If so, see what happens to the pack voltage after pushing start. Some charger's also allow a voltage reading without starting the charge. It might be in the manual or someone may know how.
