Default Will This Work?

This is just a quick question.

I have a Futaba FASST 2.4GHz system in my XTM XT2. I was wondering if I can use this battery pack to run the radio/servos:

I know it's not a receiver pack but so what? It's the same capacity as most packs anyway so, I figure why not? I hear a lot of people say that receivers can handle over 6v so it should be kosher, right?

Oh yeah by the way, those are 2/3A size cells. Not sub-C.

What if I removed one of the cells and re-soldered the connections? It'd be okay then, right?

Keep in mind several people have told me that people are starting to use 6-cell packs for their receivers.
