Default solder?

I have read alot about doing battery connections with 60/40 rosin core solder. Is silver bearing solder not better if your willing to pay the price?

Default solder?

Sorry about the post...think I have the answer from another thread. I guess it takes too much heat to melt the stuff before damaging battery. Sorry again

When it comes to solder wires, Silver solder will not give any advantages. It will most likely weaken the wires because of the extra heat needed to melt the solder.

In a good solder connection, it will never get unsolder, so the weak link would be either a broken wire due to vibration, or the wires being pulled to breaking point.
