Default Winterizing TX - leave in or remove battery

I go away for 4 months in the winter. Should I remove the transmitter battery from my JR TX or leave it in. My electricity is shut off during this period.

Thank you very much for the info. I assume that the lithium battery will preserve the memory of all my models. In any case, I recorded all the data on each model. Any comments?

I've not dealt with the computer radios enough to say if the memory back-up battery will hold the memory for 4 months.

Recording the settings was a VERY good idea, because no matter what battery you're using... it can eventually fail without much warning.
