Hard of Soft case
Another question for you folks. Which is better in a truggy? Hard case or soft case LiPo? Or is there any difference?
|
i prefer a hardcase.. can take a few more crashes and bumps than a softy..
|
same as above, i also prefer hard case. there is no other explanation to that.

If you are racing, you will more than likely be required to use hard case packs. That should tell you something right there. It's just an added layer of protection.
My first LiPo packs, from 2010, were soft case packs, and are still being used today...still used in harsh off-road environment. But hard cased packs are preferred. Having a very secure battery retention system is a must for any battery. |

Bashing rules: anything goes, but keeping a soft case LiPo pack from jumping around in chassis should be the main goal when using them. A small sharp edged pebble/stone is not what you are wanting in between battery tray, and battery. Treat your batteries with respect ... you, and your batteries should have a good life together. Charging a pack @ a 10C rate...what does that have to do with choosing a soft or hard cased LiPo? |
