I was flying a Radian electric sailplane, minding my own business when a hawk came and joined my flying. I thought, "cool, I must be in some good thermal air". I was attacked two times. Fortunately only some talon marks in my rudder, I got away, and we left each other alone. But he did attack me two times.

ORIGINAL: Flyin Beagle

What does OFCS mean? I googled it but got nothing.
My guess is 'Oh for Ct's sake'.

I was flying my Excelleron 90 one day when I heard a Whomp noise.. and a few seconds later, a seagull was flying about 50 - 100 feet away. I didn't make anything of it until I landed and noticed that my tail wheel was gone, and in it's place was a single feather stuck into the balsa. When I was walking back to the flight line with my plane, there was my tail wheel assembly sitting on the ground about 50 feet from where I had landed.

I had some 5 minute epoxy with me so I glued it back on and went back up.

I never actually saw the seagull hit the plane.. or the plane hit the seagull, but I heard the noise. I guess I was so focused on the plane that I didn't see what was going on around it. Odd but true.
