Default Radio Equipment Question

I am giving one of my planes to a family member. It has futaba receiver and servos. He has a JR transmitter. Will all the radio gear have to be replaced with JR?
Thanks for the help.

You will only have to replace the receiver in most cases- the servos will most likely work without any problems.

I just re-read your question- your family member will probably have to trim the servo lead plugs to fit the JR receiver.

glad you mentioned trimming the servo leads; did not know if that was OK to do. Thanks for the info.

Replace the receiver and trim the index tabs.

The servos won't know the difference.
