Yeah it was a good day. Took four planes to the field. Flew them all. Weather was perfect. Low 60's, little to no wind. I had the club instructor Tim, do the maiden flight. Took off beautfully. Flew super. Engine died, Tim dead stick landed the plane. Fuel lines were inspected. All looked good. Pulled glow plug and checked it. Glow was weak, replaced with an os 7 plug. Next flight was flawless. The OS 61 max is perfect match, even though its a 2 stroke. I had trouble with final approach, due to yellow fall oak leafs on trees way beyond
the runway. I completely lost the plane on final approach. It blended right in with the leaves. Some how I managed to land it. After flight inspection revealled that the right side landing gear strut cover was loose. Other than that a great day of flying. Cub required no trim adjustment,
I need to work on my final approaches. I can land fine, but never seem to be where I think I am when I begin my flair. Always seem to be to the right or left of where I think I am. When the cub blended in with the tree leaves, what I should've is go around and try a somewhat different approach. I will do my own maidens from here on. I think I have progressed enough with my flight skill. I'm sending this from my blackberry, hope that it post ol
Thanks for all of your suggestions, support and infinite wisdom!

I think it was the GP, but I've never met a Cub I didn't like (Unless the wing wasn't clipped of course
)

Genes yellow and black Cub is still one of my favorites!!! The covering just pops!!!
Glad to hear Bills plane is a keeper. The first few flights of my Cub weren't so smooth. I kept getting behind it so the ground handling on take off was ugly.
