No problems at all with them. There is one on the trainer that I learned to fly on (15 years ago) and is still working well to this day. I've trained a bunch of students that had them on their trainers as well, with no problems. You'll do fine with it. Carrellh gives great advice for using Locktite on it!!!

If the engine is cowled, and you think you might fly the plane longer than a month or two, consider a conventional mount.
If you think you might crash and want some energy absorption and expect the crash to not be too bad, the clamp is just the ticket. My guess is it was designed for the newbie who has trouble drilling the 4 holes accurately.
If you can be trusted to get the 4 bolts properly tightened and to keep an eye on them over time, yes, it can be trusted. They're like everything else in our hobby. They work excellently well for those who can work them.

Dont let any one tell you these are no good - we been flying them on trainers and Sr Kadets for our RC Skydivers and have never had a problem - we change motors all the time and dont even use locktight - we just check then every couple flights and very seldem have to tighten a screw - they work and work well
just use thwem and let all the negative stuff go in one ear and out the other
also a couple flyers that do 3d use these mounts so they can change motors fast as they may change 3 or 4 motores at the field to check out dif ones
we yus anywhere fron 40 to 60 size motors and a few Mag 70 4 strokes
