Default Looking for Plane Light Fixtures

I am looking for some light fixtures that would be like nacelles under the wing, just back of the leading edge on a 1/4 scale plane. I wanted to mount some really bright landing lights, but I do not want to gouge out part of the wing's leading edge. I would also like to know of wing tip fixtures and tail top of rudder fixtures.

Anyone know of a manufacturer that makes such a product?

Thanks

Well, there are some pretty powerful LED's out there that might be worth taking a look at. I'll have to see if I can find the web site I saw them in and post a link.

I have all kinds of information on LEDs.... I need nice looking stream-lined fixtures that hold the LED.

do a search on vaccuum forming or vacu-forming, carve some plugs and do them yourself. I thought that vacu-forming was difficult and must involve some type of voodoo magic for a long time and balked at even trying...now I cant imagine not producing alot of my scale details without doing it. Not too hard and you can put together a forming box for less than $10 and power it with a small shop vac. (or a large shop vac, if you provide an extra hole to relieve some of the excess vaccuum power) Username Chad Veich has a really good "how to".

I use standard LED mount "rings". These hold the LED's in place almost flush with the wings.

Then install a plastic bubble/lense over the LED... Parkflyerplastics.com has lense/bubbles in plastic sheets.

Thanks opjose... I appreciate the link... I am really looking for something mounted under the wing looking forward... I don't want to cut the leading edge.

A nice wing tip light fixture would nice too...

As far as vacu-forming... I already do too many craft from scratch... maybe someone will read this and take up the idea... on the other hand, there does not seem to be much demand or the product would exist.

A couple of years ago I purchased lights for an RC car. These had plastic lenses, etc. and came both round and square.

I epoxied them in place onto landing gear, making for some very nice looking landing lights...

Something similiar to this:

What if you used pushrod exit fairings. I think thats what they call them. They are streamlined and you epoxy them to the fuselage for the pushrod to come out, rather than just a hole. Could you modify the exit hold to hold the LED?
