A couple of things................
Cowls can be repaired and restored with a little work. Here is a link that gives information about repairing cowls and canopies and what materials to use. http://www.epogrip.com/pdf/epo_grip_cowling_repair.pdf
Post a picture of the airplane it may help someone here better identify your airplane.

My Feedback: (-1)
Good question and hard to answer. Some ARFs have the distributor's name like AeroWorks stamped into the wood inside the fuse, most don't though. If you search around you can find ARFs with the same specs/sizes as your plane and be pretty sure there parts will work for you. Most of these planes will be in what they are calling the 50cc size. I have a few glass cowls on hand but the only one I have for a YAK or Sukhoi is for a 40% plane. You can also give Fiberglass specialties a call and give him the circumference of the fuse you need it for. Maybe he has something in stock??

Measure the wing span again....is it 81 inches? Acouple of companies made an 81 in Yak. SD models for one. I tracked down a canopy by going to their web site even though SD models as been bought out.
Another option is fiberglass specialities, they make replacement wheel pants and cowls

I did contact Fiberglass Specialties, they said since the Yak is an ARF they hardy doubted they would have it, THe guy I bought all of his stuff/junk. I think he bought on obsession. Out of 13 planes and 4 helicopters you can tell especially with the helicopter he was buying and learning how to fly with each model. So some things have been crashed. So I hardly doubt he remembers hardly anything.
This particular plane the cowl is semi oval. I thought about sketching the cowl shape with some pics and see if Fiberglass Specialties could make.
During my endless persuit I did find a few people with a 50cc plane. I am hoping I can give them a buzz on Monday.
Please correct if I am wrong. I measured on the aileron side of the wing. and I came up with 361/4 then I read through the fuselage and I came up with 75/8". So I called it 80". I am not taking in the account of curve of the wings and the wings not being on the plane. Therefore I was looking at YAK 54 with 80-81" wing span with 50cc motors.
thanks for all of the help.
