<span style="font-family: Verdana"><span style="font-size: medium">Somebody gave me a roll of Monokote with good luck and no instructions. What is the temperature setting for the iron? Ihave the basic iron with no dial. Ido have a laser thermometer. This is my first repair job, and Ido not want to burn through.

Try this www.monockote.com One of the ways I check is to use a small scrap piece and just set the iron on it. If it sticks good go for it. Also if you notice a slight change in color when setting the iron on it that's a good indicator it will be OK. ENJOY !!! RED

The website is:

http://www.monokote.com/

The best way to set the temperature is to use a scrap of MonoKote and set the iron to just below the melting point of the material. If the iron is hot enough to take off the gloss from the material, the iron is too hot. Reduce its temperature from there. Maximum temperature for MonoKote is 350-degrees F.
