Default Skyliner Advice

I bought a Megatech Skyliner, and now after reading I see I shouldn't of. Well I did and I dont have enough money to buy another for a while. I am new to rutter controls. I can fly the cheap propeller controlled ones pretty good. But this is my first 3 channel plane. Is there anything that I need to know to get this plane flying. I really dont know anything about this. Should the elevator be level when thrown? And is there any upgrades I could do to this plane to help it to be better? Any help would be appreciated! And please no "throw it in the trash" post, Please. I bought it so Im stuck with it.

Thanks
Brian
