Default thrust

when you are picking a motor for your plane does the amount of thrust (in grams) have to be more or less than the planes weight?

if you want to pull unlimited vertical climb, then thrust needs to be more than the plane's weight. If you just want it to fly, it can be much less, how much less depends on the type of plane, wing area, weight, etc.
