Now this is coldddddd.
It's winter in Michigan
And the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 52 below!
Oh, how I love Michigan
When the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
And your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
You may think I'm a fool.
I could never leave Michigan,
Cause I'm frozen to the stool.

Almost too hot to fly last Sunday. Must have been at least 95 degrees Farenheit!
Mind you, it is summer over here!

LOL?
Part I hate most , is getting thru all the layers of clothes to get your buiness done. You would think a guy would gain weight stuck in these long winters, but by the time I lug all the extre weight of the clothes around, I stay pretty trim.

The problem here in NJ is the freeze-thaw cycle leaves a lot of mud holes on the road to the field. They freeze with a half inch or so of ice, and 6 inches of dirty, muddy water below. Drive through it at your own risk!!!
So, some of us avoid going to the field in the winter.

I'm from NW Missouri but have lived here for 23 winters. This winter has been the worst so far. I have learned how to deal with the cold, but with this much snow, I feel like a rat running thru the tunnels. The shop is heated with wood and the wood pile was looking pretty low, till Idug down a few feet.
Florida is nice but just to many people per square mile for me. Got to muchcountryboyin me I guess. Really don't mind winter as long as it is not 6 months long.

In 1969 or 70 I went to a outdoor concert/ hippie fest, held at a farm just outside of Harris, I grew up on a farm a few miles south of Bethany. Worked in Priceton a few summers during school break putting up grain bins. I have realatives scattered across the norhern part of the state.
