Default Programming a 9C Futaba

I am having difficulty try to decipher the 9C Super Futaba manual for programming the transmitter. Someone once told me that their might be a 9C for Dummies manual.
I would love to get my hands on that. I have had problems tring to follow the manual to program flaps with some down elevator. I once did it while talking to a tech from Futaba....nothing like what the manual said. He basically told me the manual is just a guide! Lots of luck with that. Any help would be appreciated.

Futaba web site has a FAQ. If it isn't there then email the rep. There was a book out for the 9-C after the radio first came out but you may have problems finding one today, as good as the radio is it is getting a bit long in the tooth. I have had mine soon after it came out, I love this radio.

Andy,
Thanks. That's the 9Cbook Iwas trying to find for my post above, but Icouldn't find it. The only thing Icould come up with was the Harry Higley book. I have the book you are talking about and it does help a lot in explaining the 9C radio. Tower used to carry it, but it looks like they don't any longer.

I've worked with that radio since they were sold in the states, do you have any specific questions?

Me??? Nope. I have the radio set up for my TF B-25. That's the only plane I have on that radio now.

That was the one I had seen, couldn't remember who wrote it and I haven't seen one in a shop in a long while.

I had a 9C and now I have a 10C..........very similar programming. I wanted to set up a twin so I could control either engine seperately and together. I went to the Futaba website and there were step-by-step instructions to do that. I find their FAQ's really helpful. That being said.......I agree with Gray Beard.........awesome radio's

When I don't find something in FAQ I just email there support and in a day or two the answer is on my puter. I print it out and stick it in my instruction book. I have a couple of sheets stuck in there as a book mark. My feelings about the 9-C is Futaba knew I was going to buy one so they got a group of monkeys and gave them radios to try to program. I think they figured if the monkey's could do it then I would be able to operate one?? That's what I think they did anyway??? I have programed about 100 planes with my radio over the years and even when I'm setting up a very basic plane the instruction book is still on my lap. Hardest thing for me is remembering if it is + or - expo to soften the center. It's just one of those things I can't lock into my brain. I either ask a JR person and then do the oposite or I go into one of my programs and see how I set it. A dumbass thing but it has bit me in the butt more then once.[8D]

The graph on the radio is your best friend on expo. Just add your expo and watch the graph as you move the stick. Or just dial in 80% and watch the surface. :-)
