Iimagine it has somethign to do with an "international" order. I used to work at a place that sold online and authorizing non-US cards was a pain. I can possibly see for additional verificationif the order was from someplace like Afghanistan, Libya or the South Pole but Canada? Inever understood the need for such difficulty. I can't beleive that I am actually speaking in defense of Nitroplanes for once but I imagine it is just some stupid formality with their credit card processing company.

I cant say that I can blame them really, no offense to you of course. I had one of my cards hijacked last year and was getting peculiar things in the mail so I checked into it and disputed it all and got new cards.. no skin off my hide in the deal.. Maybe this is their way of preventing those types of fraudulent orders that potentially cost the business money in the end.. ??..

Like people said, on international orders there's a good chance they have zero protection. If it's a fraudulent charge they don't get the money, have no chance at recovering it, lose the item and the expensive shipping. I would send them the info they want without worrying. Like they said, just black out all but the last numbers.
