Hi Guys
I have an ARF trainer that I need to repair. I punched a hole in the leading edge of the wing, damage was small but I have never put the covering on the the plane and there for I'm not sure as how to go about it. Should I just cover the area with the damage or should I cover a larger area around it?
Thanks for any help.

On a trainer plane, which is bound to recieve more damage, one way or the other , I use the two inch wide clear packing tape , it is cheap, easy and strong,

Ditto on the above. But if you are bent on using covering and the hole extends out to the ribs then cut away the punctured covering forming a square in between the ribs. Then recover leaving anyware from 1/4 in.- 1/2in to overflap the stock covering. But be carefull to not burn a hole in the stock covering during the operation.
