Default RE: Where to fly in MN?

I fly at Spring Lake Park in Dakota County, near Hastings. There's no club, as it's operated by the county. They do all the mowing and upkeep, and it only costs $15 a year for a permit, provided you have AMA or adequate homeowner's insurance. It's a nice place to fly, and is rarely very busy. Most days you'll see maybe one or two others out there. Saturday mornings tend to bring out 6-7 people, but that's as busy as it gets. The downside to having no formal organization is that there's no training program. If a beginner shows up most of us will do what we can to get them going, but it's not exactly a regular occurrence.

If you're looking for clubs/fields in MN along with hobbyshops, http://www.net-express.com/mnrc/home.html is a great resource.
