I have a Hanger 9 Saratoga 40. It calls for a .46 2 stroke glow, or an efilte power 46 outrunner.
I know very little about electric but have a foamie, that is going into the scrap heap that has a PJS 3D 500 on it, older esc, etc, etc. I was curious if this would work?
The Saratoga is an ARF, and I havn't opened it up yet. I have a .46 to go in it, but got a new battery charger, so was thinking about making the Sara an Electric. Comments, ideas?
Thanks

Ths motor is not even close to a replacement for a 40 size glow engine.

Go to his beginners thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10386274/tm.htm and look at post #12. Read through this and you can get a pretty good idea what type of engine you need. Then you can go to somewhere like Tower Hobbies and find an electric motor and ESC that will fill your needs.

Thanks for the response back. That does help a lot. I ended up putting the 46 glow in it, and it fly's great. Now I need to find a plane that isn't tore up to put the PJS 500 3D in. I bought the foamie with the engine, battery and esc for 20 bucks, so I'm not complaining, killed the foamie, but don't want to wast the engine.
