Just a couple of questions Ive been having trouble with. Using the search feature didn't give me what I was looking for
First, what is a "pattern" plane? Is a description of an actual flight pattern or an actual type of plane? Does this type of plane have certain characteristics, longer tail, symmetrical wings? Second what is pylon racing? Does it require a certain type of plane to race?
thx in advance

My Feedback: (1)
a "pattern" plane is one that is designed to fly the patterns used in contest flying, a thin high powered mid wing design... in contests you have to adhere to strict patterns and schedules of flying.......pylon planes are simular in that they are designed to fly around 2 or 3 pylons at speed,, nascar in the sky,, turn left and go fast, strict fuel limits and no out of bounds, very intense much as pattern flying is......Rog

About the Pylon Racing, some Pylon racers get up to 180mph +
Both Pattern, and Pylon are fully-semetrical wings. To get more out of your question I might suggest that you post in the 3D, IMAC, Pattern forum
