Here is my 8 year old Skylane 182. 95" wingspan flying weight 17 1/2 #s. Saito 180 . Awesome flying airplane, just like the real thing. I paid $499. 8 years ago. They just received some more in stock after being sold out for quite a while.
Thanks,
Eddie

Actually yes, if he showed up with a .60 sized glow Yak, we would ALL tell him he needs to go find an instructor to fly that type of plane or shelve it and buy a high wing trainer of some sort. Some people, like jester's idiot example, do need to get instruction; I find it hard to believe that anyone could crash a HZ Champ, but I guess it does happen. I have never crashed my Champ or my Super Cub and did crash my PZ T-28 Trojan after a successful maiden flight. That was my fault since I let the plane get way too far away and I lost orientation. But, damage was minimal and I flew her again today, this AM in fact and this time I used the D/R on my Spektrum DX6i and set the aileron, and rudder to 60% and the elevator to 75%. Wow, what a difference. I actually flew her for about 8-9 minutes and then brought her in for a nice 3 point landing. I now have8 planes and have only crashed the Trojan. Of these, 3 are mico planes. I attribute my success to my RealFlight 6 simulator. I have a Flyzone Cessna 182 Skylane Select Scale that I am going to maiden tomorrow. I have set the D/R on this one also so she should fly more docile than my T-28. I have been practicing on the Cessna 182 on my sim for a week or so, so I am confident I will be able to maiden her successfully.

GP sells an ARF of this airplane for $250 USD. It has enough wing area to make an excellent trainer and you will be pleased by the way it flies.

Thanks John, so is Tower Hobbies the best choice for Online ordering. I hear bad and good things about others like Banna Hobby, and Hobby King so it's very confusing.

Tower hobbies is likely the largest retailer in the US and a reputable company that happens to have about the best customer service of all. They are not the cheapest but hey you have a problem they are there. Quite unlike the less reputable overseas retailers you mention who have no effective customer service.

I have bought many, many large items from Tower Hobbies and have not had to return anything. They are a great online retailer. Not as cheap a some others, but very good. I have used their EZ Pay program and it is a nice way to buy if you want to stretch your money a little bit.
