I was just reading the post from Eagle63 about his and his son's solo flight on the same day. I believe it was Sunday, 9/7/03, which was the same day I soloed my Hobbico Superstar 40. Made me wonder how many others might have soloed Sunday. I just recently took up RC flying and just joined this group today. I also have a full scale 1947 Beechcraft Bonanza that I have owned since 1978. Prior to that I owned a 1946 Champ. I learned to fly a Piper PA-12 in 1971 while still in college at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville). True to what I had been told, learing to fly a RC after knowing how to fly full scale was a challenge.

TNbonanza,
Welcome to RCU! I hope you will find the info here informative and fun! Check out the magazine, and marketplace. There's lots to explore here.
One of MY little traditions here in the beginners forum is to congratulate all new solo pilots with the Official RCU "ATTABOY". But the new site is going through some de-bugging, and right now it won't let me post pics.
I'll have to get back to you.

The question I was really asking was I wondered how many people soloed on Sept. 7, 2003. It appears there were at least three that read this forum.
