Default CG Help With 1/4 scale extra 300

I got this plane ready to go its an original patty wagstaff 1/4 scale Extra 300 and unlike my other planes it says in the manual to mark the CG at the*(wing Tips)* 3-13/16

am I suppose to lift this plane by the wing tips I'm afraid its to heavy for that.

If i mark 3-13/16 on the wing tip and use a straight edge to follow the line with the wing tip i come up with 6-1/2" next to the fusel lodge.

i get the same mesurment if i streach a string across the plane from wing tip to wing tip

if i flip the plane upside down and use that 6-1/2mark for my cg its all good does this sound right i don't want to maiden it tail heavy.

here is a link to the page from the manual

Most giant scale planes like the extra are cg'd right were the wing tube is. Inoramlly make a template and slide it on between the wing and fuse and lift from that.

Yep I agree with the wing tube....this is only a place to start from.....true CG will should be checked on the first flight and by the way you want your airplane to fly
