Default Futaba 4vf

I just purchased a hobbico superstar select and it comes with a 4vf. The tx has an 8 pack Nicd pack hard wired into it. I want to use this tx with FMS and don't always want to use the Nicd. The seems like it can accept regular AA batteries. How do I disconnect the Nicd pack? I took off the back and it is attached to the electronics of the tx. I am not sure if this can be detached or not.

Sorry, ultimate beginner!

Well I am a beginner jut like you.(I mean new at the R/C thing) but I know electronics. I say It is possible but you must think about warranties and the like.
If you are serious about what you are doing if you take off the back you will
see two wires to the battery. Black+ white or red - that is all you need to know.
If I was you I,d go to radio shack to find out about batteries and what not.

Ps If you do this it WILL INVALIDATE YOU'R WARRANTY
