need a wing tube

Well Gene, after doing my big search Scott was able to locate me a wing tube. My big problem was the size. I located smaller tubes of carbon fiber from Hobby King, just nothing as big as I needed but there prices were better then anyplace I had found. If speed says his ebay guy is trust worthy then by all means I would give him a try. I don't know his dealer but I trust Shawns word and judgement.

I'm not sure of the most efficient way, but if you search for Carbon Wing Tube and click on an ad, you can see the seller, then click on their name and see their offerings. Fortunately Happychoice2009 is the first few ads that come up. Even cooler (for you) is that he links a website:

If you are really desperate, you might be able to get something like this to work, it is a little smaller but, you might be able to wrap it with something. http://www.advantagehobby.com/80643/GPMGPMA3199/

Are you still looking for a wing tube?
Here you go:

If need be wrap a bit of tape around the tube to make up for the 1mm difference.

That 17mm size appears rare.

Also - it doesn't necessarily have to be a tube. You can make an "X" cross-section out of two lengths of aluminum angle iron (overlap the angle just enough to add a fastener every six inches or so) or even slotted aircraft plywood that is 17mm across the flats and epoxied along the joints.

You probably saw this too :<a href="http://www.goodluckbuy.com/17mm15mm-carbon-fiber-tube-3k-twill-1000mm-long.html" target="_blank">

I went through this a month ago. Finally found someone with a busted tube that was still long enough for my needs. Good luck.

Hey Irish, I guess I don't understand the problem fully. I googled "17mm carbon fiber tube" and got 100,000 returns. Many places are selling 17mm carbon fiber tubing up to 76 inches long. What am I not grasping here?

I must be doing something wrong. I googled carbon fiber wing tube and nothing came up in 17mm I seen 15,18,20 and 22. I then tried to narrow the search by asking for carbon fiber wing tube 17mm 76" long. Nothing.
