didnt realize there was a couple diff rolls. the axial roll is what i was trying. from what i have read i need to use elevator along with the ailerons to do that right? the barrel roll uses the rudder with ailerons.

however the timing of elevator in a roll can be critical.. normally for ONE roll, elevator may not be needed. (good advice about bringing the nose slightly high first)
if your timing on the elevator isn't right, the airplane can end up doing a barrel roll (or has been mentioned, the dreaded figure 9
)almost ALL aerobatic maneuvers are a combination or simple rolls and loops. master the basics and you'll be doing (GOOD) rolling circles in no time
