Flying yesterday and the Apprentice seemed to be nose diving almost thought I had lost total power of it went on a preety serious dive had no trim left got it down safe... Tried to manually trim from servo arm than took off little bit better same thing was happening trim was all out of wack . I think the battery was not seated 100% tight. Anyways plane got a little far from me got a little nervous and you know what happens from there......tree magnet. Plane is approximately 40-50 ft in tree in a persons back yard who is actually nice lol. Did some reading and it seems the tennis ball with fishing line is the best solution any ideas would be highly appreciated.... Thanks in advance

I had this happen to me once, but the plane was in a pine tree is some woods near our field. I was able to find a man who worked with a local tree trimming crew who had the gear to climb trees safely and without a bucket truck. For $50.00 he went up and had the plane down in one piece in just a few minutes.

I applied a strip of velcro to the battery compartment and battery itself on my Apprentice. Sort of a belt and suspenders approach but after reading your post I'm glad I did it. About all I can suggest about the tree problem is a young and agile teenager.

My Feedback: (314)
Two weeks ago I put a 100inch Wings Maker Ogar into the top of a 100ft. tree. Climbing is out as the branches at the top are thin. The plane, electric powered, was faster than anticipated and I was never "with" it. It's still there and I visit it occasionally. Really fast for a powered glider of that size.
