Question Pushrod Housing attachment on Apprentice S

Hi all. So i've had a minor crash into the ice with the e-flight apprentice, ending with a separated nose section (firewall from foam fuselage). In addition, the pushrod for the nose gear separated. So my question is this: the pushrod has a housing, yet I see no evidence of a connection point. It seems to me the housing would be useless unless it was prevented from moving with the inner pushrod. Was it perhaps glued to the fuselage at a few points I just can't discern?

I'm sure there is lots of advice on glue and foam repair, but as an aside, does anyone know what that flexible, white glue (almost like a light foamy putty) the apprentice uses is? Would simply cutting foam from a blank and gluing it to damaged areas (part of the foam right where the firewall attaches was damaged) be a good fix?

Thanks for any help... new to this.If you have any advice on best seeking this info myself or making effective inquiries on forums like this, all the better!

yup, you're on the right track... the housing was very likely glued in, I use foam tac glue (by beacon) .. it's great foam safe glue, and can be removed with lighter fluid or 'goo gone'

The glue they use is white silicon. When I had my Apprentice I used white Gorilla glue for most repairs.
