Are you talking about the same size plane as gizmo? He's putting a 23 cc and you had a 72 cc? I over power my planes, but that's insane.

BTW, not all kit built skybolts are heavier than the ARF's. Mine came in at 7 lbs on the dot WITH an OS 120 Surpass up front. Currently my fav.

I have also been flying for a number of years; but I would estimate my skill level as 30% of the way from beginner to "experienced but not expert level".

I recently got my first biplane; it's a Parkzone Albatros.

so far like it a lot; mostly because it's slow and scale-like. Most of the recommendations above are faster, sporty biplanes. But there is the other side of this which is the slow, scale side

Yes, the Pheoton90. Engine weighs about 5.5 lbs, all up weight was a little under 16 lbs. Moved the firewall aft about 1.5 inches, new landing gear from 1/4 inch music wire, Tundra tires and an enlarged rudder.
