Default First flight on yak!

Moved from trainer to a yak today. Wow!!! What a difference. Very fun. I had not set up expo or dual rates and it was really touchy. Thanks go to Steve who helped me set it up correctly and helped me get through my first flight.

also was using a 4 stroke for the first time, a saito 100. 4 strokes are really different from the 2 strokes thatI am used to, and performed great.

Yak 54 aeroworks quickbuild 60-90 size. Unbelievably light and quick plane.

Very nice plane and not a bad choice of engine. Very good combo. I too prefer four strokes, just a different brand. Aeroworks makes one of the better ARFs too.

Nice, I quite like that plane. I found with the old 56" Fly Model one I had that the key was all in the transmitter programming (ie throws and expo) when it came to going to it straight from the trainer.
If you get it right, you get a well behaved model that tracks fantastically, is forgiving, yet still does basic sport flying without even breaking a sweat - though it can be a 3d maniac at the flick of a switch IF your feeling brave.
For me, it was the right option post my trainer (though I had been flying nitro powered 3D helis for a bit).
