Hi guys,
I just found this micro autopilot,it works great for electric aircraft, just 23 grams with GPS module together and you can switch up to 6 flight modes by your transmitter during flight.
For starters, the LEVEL mode,Stabilization mode and auto-return mode are great choice, level mode will help you to fly the aircraft more stable, during this mode, you just need to control the rudder, the aileron and elevator will do automatic level calculation, you dont have to take care of them;if the aircraft is out of your eyes, just switch to autoreturn mode,it will come back immediately,a great device for starters

With the technology available to beginners, they don't really learn much about flying. The model saves them from imminent disaster.
My brother had two models before he move "up" to a trainer that I began with.
It seems that the hobby is becoming more about not crashing, than it is about flying.

Mr. Jorge Obama this is the beginers forum for model airplanes and as such autominous flight is inappropriate. As the fellows have noted the goal here is to learn to fly the airplane and not simply to let it go then push a return button at your whim.
There are some very limited uses for this stuff and I have experimented with most since the eighties but it has no place in a model airplane beginners forum, There is such a place here at RCU if you wish to talk about it and I suggest you search that out if you really want to just talk about it and are not just another cheezy ;product peddaler.

Yes John, if you look at his previous post you will see what he is doing, more free advertising crapola. For a fun time come to the lake bed and see what that nice flat gray lake bed does to these auto pilots. A couple of the older fellows thought they would be a good idea but the lake bed taught them a lesson. One of the guys has a high end unit that really does work but it costs as much as the plane.
Much better idea to just learn to fly and forget the gimmicks.
I flew a Fleet for a fellow that put one on the rudder thinking it would help him on take off, it did but if you forgot to turn it off when flying it fought you. That was back in the early 90s, the guy was a great builder but couldn't fly very well.
