Default Beginner help for Gamma 370

Hello all. I bought an Ares Gamma 370 RFR yesterday and assembled it last night. I am using a Spektrum DX6i transmitter and a Spektrum AR400 receiver. I have a couple of questions. First, I'm not getting any propeller movement until the throttle is at 1/2 and on the elevator, I'm only getting approximately 1" of total movement horizontally. Is this normal for this plane and set-up or do I need to make some adjustments via the transmitter? The instruction book is almost entirely geared toward the RTF version. Thanks for any help you can give me.

An inch of elevator travel is a lot on a plane that size. My .40 size Cub is just barely over an inch of total throw, and it's over double the size. Does the manual have a recommended throw setting? I think you'll probably find that the plane is much more comfortable to fly down around 1/2 inch of total throw once it's trimmed to fly straight and level.

As for your motor, I'd call the manufacturer about that. If you have 100% throws set in the transmitter, you should get some prop movement at very low throttle settings.
