politically incorrect
I am being politically incorrect but I am going to wish all of my RCU friends a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please enjoy the Holiday and don;t forget those that are in harms way and away from home. My flying buddy (grandson) is in the Marines and we wish him safe travel.

I know there are others out there who do not celebrate Christmas . That is their Choice and I do not wish to debate with them but for all others who celebrate Christmas Merry Christmas and best wishes for a safe and happy New Year ..

To the majority of us Merry Christmas. If that offends you too bad.
Former USMC myself. I missed a few holidays while overseas.
That gives me the right to wish you all Merry Christmas. And gives you godless heathens the ability to be offended

I am offended by happy holidays. Christmas is Christ's birthday. So Merry Christmas. If I had a Hebrew friend then I'd wish him happy haunakka. I don't know the rest of the world

I always smile when I see happy holidays, or hear someone say it instead of Merry Christmas.
Holiday is derived from the term Holy Day.
So, God bless our troops, Merry Christmas and Happy Holydays!

My Feedback: (2)
Before Christmas there was the Roman holiday Saturnalia. Around the third or fourth century A.D., Roman Christians adopted the holiday and designated it Christ's birthday, even though historical records suggest His actual birthday was a different time of year.
So, to be even more politically incorrect, one might say "merry Saturnalia".
Nevertheless, I wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my fellow modelers!

I am actually enjoying this thread. It's interesting to see where some of our holiday season names come from. As long as everyone continues to "play nice", I'd let this thread run

Polictically incorrect........why is it incorrect? If we are as Good in our hearts as we profess and exercise respect for all, why would the reason for this season offend anyone?? Isn't it a time for all mankind to respond with love and understanding/
maybe the problems between us lay closer to home than we would like to admit.
for a while try laying down your sword long enough to grasp the true meaning of this season..(It ain't santa claus) and maybe the GOD you believe in will bless you!
When they asked what's in your wallet They should be asking what's in your heart!
