I just finished putting together my first build (Tamiya Mad Fighter). I went simple and easy to get started.
I also purchased a Futaba transmitter/controler (2DR AM R162je with 23003 27/75MHz transmitter).
I'm having trouble with the servos.
-When I plug in the battery pack, the car immediately goes to full speed (forward). I can pull down on the steering stick to get the car in neutral, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to configure the controls to the servos.
-The steering is also off.
The installation of the servos appears to be correct (was rather simple).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

why are you using an airplane style transmitter for a car. try reversing the servo direction from the transmitter. Also you may have to program your esc. Pulling down on the left stick will bring the throttle down but you also will need to pull down the trim also to stop the motor.
