Im having problems making a good or somewhat reliable link budget.
Does anyone have a good webpage or book that can explain the way it works? Or even some guidance.

Why in the world would a beginning RC user be interested in a link budget? That is something for RF engineers to worry about.

I've been flying model air craft since the 50s. I had to look up the link budget to see what it was.
