I have been flying for a while and am ready to get a good plane, I have saved up after a long time 400 dollars but don't know what plane to get. I am looking for something that is not to difficult to fly but as i get better be able to do more acrobatic maneuvers on the same plane. I also have a preference that it would be electric because gas are to noisy. Plus can it have a long flight time because i hate having to fly twenty minutes then charge for five hours. Please help and money is in Canadian so really 400 isn't that much[&o]

As far as flight time goes you're probably not going to be able to get anymore than about 20 mins of power time from a typical battery.
Have you thought about going with an electric glider? Not as aerobatic as some of the sport planes but they'll get you up in the air and if you can find good air you can stay up for hours. Plus if you start getting low you just hit the throttle and take off for another 30+ min flight. Just a suggestion though

Yeah these are all good suggestions but the problem is i dont have enough room for an electric glider but i gues im ok with a twenty minute flight, could you give me some examples of good plane that dont need to much assembly but are cheap?

Check this out, from Ripmax. Read all the specs and the suggested motor setup, all of which you can get at the same place:

You stated that you have been flying for a while, if this includes setting up and flying planes with glow motors, I can understand your issues with the noise. On the other hand I can also understand your flight time concern with electrics. If my assumption of you flying glow engines is correct you might want to consider a diesel engine. If you have an 8oz tank and a .40 diesel you will regularly see a 30 minute run time if properly prop-ed and moderate throttle is used. Additionally diesels are infinately quieter than glow (and noisy electrics in some cases too). If you have no one in your area that uses diesel then I would tend towards the electric, and if you are not familiar with engines I would also tend towards the electric. I agree that a glider may be your best bet. Good Luck

Also i have not flown glow o nly electrics because of them being quieter and not having to take gas with is bad to store in my house.

If you are going to go electric, look at getting a few batteries and a good fast charger. You won't get 20 minute flights out of them, but with 3 batteries, you can stay in the air pretty consistantly. There are lots of good planes, what kind of flying interests you most?

Im interested ina a bit of acrobatic and speed type flying, yet slow enough to keep in a park. Also im not sure if im ready for a four channel raiod or plane, the ailerons might cause me a bit of trouble. Really, i want something thats durable, medium fast, manuverable, and can do some acrobatics for $400 canadian (all peices included).
