Built my first ARF *PICS*
I just finished building my first ARF yesterday. The kit I choose was a Modeltech .25 size piper cub. Most of the build went well. I went so far as to add a second servo to the wing so I could have flaperons. All that is left is to finish the radio install and fuel tank.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:

I'll have to fix that. In the pictures he is just held up by some foam. After I finish the radio/fuel tank I'll strap him in the back "seat" permanently.

Nice looking plane.
You might want to add a seat belt for snoopy
just in case you have a mishap. LOL
I used to have a 60 size cub. Catch you a field
mouse and but it in the cock pit and let snoopy
take him for a ride. If you due several loops and rolls
with the mouse in the palne and then land it real
quick the mouse will be so dizzy that it want
move for several mins. LOL

On topic : nice job! I hope it flies well.
I'm building a mini electro piper cub, but I've done so many mods vs whats in the manual that it looks bad and I'm afraid it will fly like a brick.

Quick Question guys,
***Can flaperons double as flaps, i.e once you've lined up with the runway you switch over and use the ailerons as flaps?***
Sorry for my ignorance!

That's the whole idea ZR. On your approach, you turn a small knob on your tx (at least mine is that way) and that lowers the "flaps" but you still have full aileron control at the same time. I put flaperons in my Falcon Ready float plane. It used to fall out of the sky like a brick...lol. Now it just eases its way back to the water.
