Default Osprey?

Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a kit like the one on the new Great Planes add on #5 the OSPREY. Does anyone make a kit or an arf of the plane? I personally have never seen one but I think it would be an awsome plane. I had a model of this plane at 13 but not flyable. Thanks Super.[8D]

The real one doesn't fly, why would a model?

Seriously though, the mechanics that would go into building an osprey kit are just too complex to kit. THough if someone's seen one, please prove me wrong.
I have seen an electric VTOL that was more like a helicopter (no wings). Looked neat. I'd like to build an EDF VTOL. Just takes money, right?

I thought this question sounded familiar - Try this [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_157948/mpage_1/key_osprey/anchor/tm.htm#157948[/link]
and you will find a very detailed thread regarding this subject
Very very difficult to do and as a FYI the ring vortex problem on the full scale has
been solved and I believe testing is due to resume shortly on this amazing aircraft
as the Marines really REALLY want this ship!

Hope this helps

Sorry to bring this thread to life again after so long ,,but I have been busy and just found this thread and had to prove 3D wrong . Well half way ,,it is hard / complicated and expensive

I have been working with a twin engine (O.S. .46 's ) Osprey for some time now and feel I am close to full conversion. It is a big bird [wingspan of 50 " ,nose to tail 58 " ,with two 42 " rotor (2 bladed ,flybared )
Check out my website and the update page with a link to the video of my last attempt ,,which lead to a loose nacelle and eventually a hard landing. I am now in the process of redesigning the nacelles to make them stay put ... In the video you will see the nacelles move to the 60 degree position as the bird passes in front of the camera . Hope you all enjoy

Here is the link to my website where I have several older test beds and a few others pix that are trying VTOL's

Looks good to me. Keep it up and should come around after a while.
