Does there exist a help group such as AA for alcholics for individuals who are consumed with R/C planes?

Yep! It is called, YOUR LOCAL FLYING FIELD!! I say this for the is no known cure for R/C!!! :-)

I tend to agree. I love this site, but it is fuel on the fire as far as time spent thinking about flying. But hell, you only live once right?

Indeed, you only live once.
If you like it, and it doesn't hurt someone else, do it.
Some folks spend their whole life trying to "find themselves", if this is it, the that's a lot better than a lot of things one could obsess over, or be addicted to.
It keeps you off the street, out of the bars, and totally broke right?
Know when to say when.
Fly responsibly.
Friends don't let friends fly alone.
Rather give a kid a plane, than a crackpipe.
I don't think anyone ever woke up in a ditch with just last nights plane in their hands and no idea of where they flew it.
But seriously folks.......
