Read the instructions. Make sure all the parts are there. Read instructions again. Get a good night's sleep and first thing in the morning...look over the instructions again. When you understand how everything goes together then start on it.

Great advice from WCB. Take your time, don't be in a rush. I put together an LT-40 and if you follow the instructions you'll be in good shape. The instructions were really pretty good and should keep you out of trouble.

Just have a good time building it as it goes together real nice, when you cover it don't be afraid to be a bit different even though it's a trainer. Here's the one I have that I fly when the mood hits.

ONE THING-- Before you start look at the W1, W2, W3 ,W4 ribs compared to the plan sheet. On mine, the slots for the Main Spars were off by an 1/8" (just an inconveniance) I cant get to mine now and take pictures but you might want to check it just in case.

Read the instruction mannual once, twice, and then a third time before you do any thing else. Sigs instructions are very good. Follow the sequence and you will have a great, fun, airplane.

Ijust put together a sig LT-40 ARFhwich is really nice, you'll really enjoy you're plane, they fly really nice.I've flown mine 6 times with a buddy box and its been great.when you do get ready to fly it make sure it's a little nose heavy. when we checked the CGit was right on according to the instruction book but the plane was barely controllable. We had to add a bunch of weight to the nose(stick on weights and a weighted spinner) to get it to fly right.
enjoy the plane,chris[8D]

Most LT-40's are tail heavy when built to plans. Mine balanced out okay, but that was because I used a .46 Magnum, which is heaver than the OS many people use. I've had good luck with this engine and for a trainer it might not be a bad choice.

I have built 3 kits and 1 arf and none of mine was tail heavy and
several guys at the club has the LT-40 and there not tail heavy.

I put the enya 40 and the os52fs on the planes i built.
The guys at the club has different types of engines on
there LT-40 and have had no problems at all.
