While practicing cross wind landings I managed to let my Avistar drift into a tree when I lost perspective. The wing was sliced through with no other damage. A one inch wide area for the wing was shredded. How do you repair the broken spar? Any tips on making sure the wing is straight? This was an ARF and I don't have plans. I did see the recent posting on repairing the area forward of the spar. Thanks for any help.

Can you include a picture, that would help a lot. You will have to recover part of it, so get over that fear first. Then, peel back the monocote, cut it with a sharp xacto, and see what your problem is. I would recomend using splints on each side of the spar.
If you could include some pictures, that would really help a lot.
