Default mystery planes and eng.

Hello I'm a new member and just got back into the hobby after a unfortunate 15+ yrs hyatus
But now I'm back and having a blast. recently I came across the deal of the century 3kits , 7eng. about ten plans and two complete aircraft for 50$ A friend of mine sold a house for this couple and the new tenants didn't want the stuff so I made out like a bandit. I don't know anything about two of the eng. One is called a Cannon 60 the other is Ueda 55 which was mounted on one of the planes which by the way was covered in silk and had about 1.5 lbs of radio and batt. in it not to mention there were porportional actuators in it rather than servos Can any body tell me anything about the eng. maybe you've heard of the eng. or even have one.?

If it is a CANNON .060 you have a nice little engine for medium power and under applications

I would suggest posting your question in the Engines Forum. There are lots of experts there

Sound like a neat find.
Check with some the guys that deal with new, used and collectable engines. They may be able to tell you more.
Bob Boumstien come to mind. He works out of Boys Town, Omaha, Ne and can be emailed at [email protected]

Thanks alot for the feedback. By the way do you guys know any body that makes skis for .40 -.60 size A/C it's getting cold up here in New England and I think it's going to snow soon so ski's
might be prudent this time of year. I tried to make them when i used to fly but on the maiden ski flight the string we had holding the ski's broke causing a pretty bad drag issue on the one side and well we augered in pretty bad please advise Thanx

Dubro used to market a set, I think. You could also make your own by laminating some thin layers of plywood together. I've never used them myself, but have seen the guys that have. kinda neat.
Found another source for skis for you go to www.MAIDENUSAMMP.com they have aluminum sets starting at $33.
Good luck and have fun !!!
