Default Where's the club???

Does anyone know of a club in the Petersburg, Va. area. I've seen the guys flying before in the summer, but have'nt found anyone in the area that can tell me how to get up with them. I've called the hobby shops but knowone sells rc planes or knows anything . Hopefully someone in the area will see this.

Check the Academy of Model Aeronautics website and use the club locator.

There are several in your area, with e-mail addresses for contact.

Greetings from South Carolina:-)
Follow this link to the first page
http://www.modelaircraft.org/templates/ama/

Scroll down and look on the left side of this page and click on Charter Club Locator
from this page you can search by zip code or you can scroll down and fill in the blanks.
I see 10 pages of web sites for clubs in your area.
Hope this helps.

There is a good hobby shop in Richmond called Hobby Corner. It is in a shopping center on the corner of 360(Hull Street) and Turner Road.
The lady that runs it understands R/C planes and they match online prices and have a good selection of fuel. Nice people.

Thanks, I'll check out that shop in Richmond the next time i'm up that way. I emailed the club contact that was on the AMA listing last week but have no response yet.
Waiting to make some contacts with flyers before i do any buying. I'm going to take the advice of the people here that have (been there and done that) before i start throwing my money in to the wind so to speak. Thanks again to all with the great help. Merry Xmas
