Default A Nexstar Story

I was practicing Taxiing my Nexstar today...AND just out of NOwhere a gust of wind came and picked her up about 8-9 feet high.
I never had any experience landing the actual plane other than the sim. So, while in the air, i figured ill let it coast a while without changing its path and soon i decreased the throttle, applyed a litte up elevator and the bird eased down slowly!!! *My first landing*
Thanks to those speed brakes, and the simulator, my bird is still in one piece.

I must have ran atleast five tanks through it today just taxiing...and now I can't get it to crank back up. I figure she's just tired from a long day of fun!

Anyone with any latest amazing experiences with their NexStar?

I had that happen to me too after i broke in the engine. I decided to taxi around got a little bold and added a bit too much throttle then backed off. A gust of wind came up and lifted her off. She landed gentle and everything was ok. Then i got bold again. This time the plane pitched to the right instead of straight and level. Puckered me right up!!!!! I didnt get to bold after that.

Keep in mind bobs that it doesnt always lift off straight especially if there is a little bit of crosswind. If you get pitched too far over the only thing you can do to keep her in one piece is throttle up and take off. Then you could be in big trouble if you have to learn the hard way about landing. Its much different coming in for a landing because plane is usually going much faster and things happen quickly.

Sounds like your just about ready to take her up on your own. Are you still flying with an instructor?

Let the engine cool and try starting it again.....you didn't mention where you are taxiing the plane - hope it is NOT on a dirt field as it will swallow a lot of crud.....

yes i am still with an instructor. there are two nearby fields so i go to each of them but can only go to each 3 times. So that a total a 6 days with an instructor!

Yesterday i was taxiing on grass and pavement, the plane picked up on pavement.
