Default engine outta wack

Hi all, I would like a little help and ask about my engine placement. I am building the great planes pt-40 and the kit came with the nylon adjustable engine mount. It has a os 40 la engine and after measuring and drilling the engine mount holes it was off 1/16 of an inch towards the muffler side, measuring from the firewall. I was wondering if the 1/16 would mess with the flight of the plane. If so is there an easy way to maybe shim the motor mount out or should I get another one and do it again. 1/16 doesnt sound like much but I dont know, this is the first plane I have built. Any info would help, thanks.

If it's out of whack...give it more whack

SHouldn't be too critical on a trainer.

Thanks for the info guys. Just wondering if it wasn't a trainer but a faster plane would the engine sitting a little crooked on the mount be something to worry about? Thanks for helping a beginner I appreciate it.

No,most planes will need some down and side thrust, the trimming stage of the flying will determine how much, most people are off a lot more than you and never trim the plane to its best flying, but that's another matter.Even your trainer may need a little twinking to fly at it's best.
