Hey Janet! Good to see you here again.
Sorry I can't give you much info on the Skyliner. Unfortunately, I haven't heard much good about the small Megatech stuff though. Biggest complaint is usually that they're supposed to be underpowered.
Hope you're able to get it flying.

Hi there, The Skyliner looks neat but could be another toy plane like the hobbyzones Firebird and its bigger brothers, but give it a shot, it may fly OK. I think your troubles would be over if you made a small investment in a better quality flying plane. They fly very different than those foam planes that come ready to go with 27mhz radios. I have flown helis for years but just bought my first plane a few weeks ago. It is a Clancy aviation Baby Bee ARF. It was so wacky, cute, and little(22!QUOT!wingspan)that I just had to buy it. If I recall its about $79.00 for the plane with motor and everything except radio gear. Two of my friends bought themselves Baby Bees too after they saw mine. These guys have never flown anything in their life and have been doing great for about two weeks now. Believe me that means anyone can fly them. The Baby Bee is made of wood and comes built and covered. You just put the wings on and a little gluing like most ARF kits. It flies in pretty high winds and no matter what you do it will correct itself and straighten out in flight. It is a totaly relaxing slow and lofty plane. Pretty much lands itself too. It will build up your confidence big time. My friends have put these planes thru a real beating and they take tremendous abuse before needing repair. If something does break you just glue it back since its all wood. You can even make your own parts from a 60cent balsa sheet if you needed to. Some people have been pretty successful with the firebirds and similar types and thats cool, but I have flown a commander and they are pretty fast flyers and a bit touchy due to the long skinny wings. They also dont handle wind very well and your not giving yourself a fair chance. They are very cool neat planes but in the end they are in the toy category. The baby bee has wide wings and wont fall when turn it hard. It is possible to use some remains from your trashed planes like the radio, batteries, chargers, and what ever else you can for a better plane that will make things more enjoyable. The motor on the bee is a little 180 size and should work with the batteries and stuff you may already have
