I am currently working on building a four star as my second plane, but I am thinking about getting another plane until I am finished. I have been looking at either a sig somethin extra or a funtana. I want something that I can eventually learn more aerobatics with. What do you guys think. Is the funtana out of my league for a second plane?

Go with one of the Great Planes Ugly Sticks ARF's. Very stable but very aerobatic as well. The Funtana isn't out of your league, but it may more than your ready for. The choice is still yours!!!

I personally would go with to somethi' extra.
I,ve flown quit a few of those and they all have the samething in common.
They are easy to fly and land, but still do alot.
the funtana is very 3D. (just one mans opinion)
Or that gp Ugly-stick as mentioned

The Somethin'Extra is a great airplane... very predictable with the cg in the correct place then as you get better you can increase the throws and move the CG back- [X(]
Perfect 3rd airplane, the 4* is better for #2 though- (They make the 4* in ARF form now-)
Have fun!

The Something Extra is a great 3rd plane for hot dogging or sunday flying. Easy to build, takes a .46 to a Saito.72 engine and slows to a crawl on landing. There is so much info on this model it would take a week to read it all. Good luck on your choice.

I would say the somthin extra also. I am currently building one of these. A guy that I fly with has one with a Tiger .46 on it and it has plenty of power to do anything he wants to do with it. Just don't put the tires from a r/c monster truck on it like he did. It flew well until he tried to come out of a torque roll and the plane stalled and crashed. No major damage though just broke the landing gear off.
