Default help wit old Controlair

Hi I am totaly new to R/C and have obtained a sailing boat with a Controlaire radio set in it .The only markings is 27.095 on the transmiter and the reciever is only marked with 26.995 and M.A.N.2.-3-4
The problem I have is that the baterys is mising so I do not know what voltage to put into the reciever or transmiter. The wiring is also not clear as some of the plugs is broken
Any help wil be appreciated.

I'd highly recommend that you go out and buy new electronics for it. Transmitters and receivers are pretty inexpensive, especially a simple 2 channel (or 3) for a boat.

It also appears that the transmitter and receiver you got with the boat are not compatible. Frequncies are different. You'll also get new servos with the radio set, so start out fresh.

By the way, this is the RC airplane forum, you'd likely have better luck posting in the boats forums.

Good Luck,
Dennis-
